Super Eagles defender, Elderson Echiejile, captained AS Monaco to a goalless draw with Paris FC in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
The ex-Braga defender started and finished the game in which Mali U-20 star Adama Traore, who cost Monaco a whooping 14 million Euros, starred against the French second division outfit, africanFootball.com reports.
Traore was the Most Valuable Player of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, where Mali finished third.
Cote d’Ivoire international striker, Lacina Traore, was also given a chance to lead the Monaco attack after he was sidelined by a long-term injury.
He struggled and was later replaced by new signing Stephan El Shaarawy.
